FOREWORD Established in 2015, the Sands China Academy provides a talent development platform for Team Members, industry practitioners and local young people, supporting professional growth. In 2025, Sands China received Top Employer certification from the Top Employers Institute, becoming the first integrated resort operator in Asia Pacific to earn the distinction. This reflects the company’s long-standing success in advancing talent development. To support the Macao SAR Government’s drive for appropriate economic diversification and its efforts to build a high-calibre talent hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the company consolidated resources in 2025 and positioned the Sands China Academy as a key hub. Through the Academy’s eight specialised sub-academies, covering MICE, hospitality, integrated resort management, entertainment, facilities, responsible gaming, procurement and retail, Sands China has developed a tiered talent development system. This has helped more than 28,000 Team Members strengthen their professional capabilities, broaden their career pathways and foster a growth mindset, while also nurturing talent for the wider industry. Over the years, the Academy has also worked with government departments and higher education institutions to provide local young people with diverse talent development programmes and learning opportunities, supporting Macao’s development as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure. In 2025, the company held the Sands China Academy Achievements and Roadmap Presentation, where it also launched the Sands China Integrated Resort Leader Development Programme. During the year, several of the Academy’s specialised sub-academies also supported the launch of new elite development programmes, including the Sands China Hotel Talent Development Programme, the Sands China Event Talent Development Programme and the Sands China Food and Beverage Operations and Culinary Talent Development Programme, organised jointly by the company and the Labour Affairs Bureau, further broadening the scope of talent development. In November 2025, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Macao University of Tourism on the Sands China Western Culinary Elite Programme, deepening collaboration across industry, academia and research, and co-hosted the Innovative Hospitality Management Symposium. In the same month, Sands China also signed an MOU on responsible gaming collaboration with the University of Macau and presented certificates to participants who completed the RG360 Macau Responsible Gaming Specialist Ambassador Course, jointly designed by Sands China and the University of Macau’s Institute for the Study of Commercial Gaming, further embedding responsible gaming principles in practice. As the economy and technology continue to evolve, the Academy will continue to refresh its training content and delivery models, while extending talent development to industry partners, with particular support for suppliers and retail practitioners in raising professional standards. This will enable a more agile response to social and industry developments and inject fresh momentum into building a sustainable talent ecosystem in Macao. 2
